ABOUT
Me
My name is George and I am a second year PhD student at the University of Liverpool. I work within the Distributed Algorithms CDT which consists of around 30 PhD students, all working on a similar domain of problems. I enjoy solving and identifying real-world problems and this is one of the main reasons I was drawn to the DA CDT.

My project is based around non-myopic approaches to sensing and surveying - the project is co-funded by Cubica Technologies, now a part of the Roke Manor Research family. You can read more about my project here, in the resource centre.

Prior to this PhD, I completed an integrated masters in aerospace engineering at Liverpool graduating in 2021. I feel as though a link to my CV here would be appropriate, rather than me just repeating it.

With this said, I do try to have a life outside of university. I play badminton twice a week and a couple of musical instruments to a tolerable standard. I have just bought a violin, much to my girlfriends dismay (sorry), and I can assure you, that is NOT to a tolerable standard. I also enjoy the outdoors, much like a border collie or spaniel.
